Margaret Miller Joins Alumni Relations Staff
The office of Alumni Relations is pleased to announce that Margaret Miller has joined Sacred Heart University in the role of Alumni Relations coordinator. Margaret oversees the Young Alumni program, assists with all alumni events, manages the Alumni Online Community and coordinates the social media ventures of the department.
She recently assisted with her first alumni event – an old-fashioned mixer for those in the classes of 1967-1980. Over 65 alumni attended the event in the University Commons, with about half taking a tour of the campus prior to the festivities. “It was a great first event for me to be involved in. It gave me the opportunity to see where Sacred Heart first began, and I was able to better understand its history. I enjoyed meeting this group of alumni,” she said.
Miller, who graduated from Fairfield University last spring with a bachelor’s degree in English and Communications and began her career in donor communications at Save the Children in Westport, is very happy to be at Sacred Heart. “The work is exciting and rewarding, and everyone has been very supportive and helpful,” she said.
“We are very happy to have Margaret on board and excited that the University has shown their commitment to our alumni by adding to our staff. An additional team member will mean more alumni offerings and events for our growing population,” said Emily Gillette, interim director of Alumni Relations.
