SHU Luxembourg Celebrates 20th Commencement
Sacred Heart University’s Jack Welch College of Business celebrated its 20th commencement exercises for students earning master’s degrees and professional certificates at the University’s campus in Luxembourg on Thursday, June 28.
The commencement address was delivered by Michel Wurth, senior executive vice president and CFO of ArcelorMittal, which is the world’s largest steel company. He is also chairman of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, chairman of the Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeoises and vice-chairman of the Luxembourg Red Cross. He was presented with a Doctor of Laws degree, honoris causa, by Sacred Heart University President John J. Petillo, Ph.D.

A total of 12 students representing 7 countries received degrees. Didier Robart was the class valedictorian and recipient of the Gold Medal of Excellence. Donald Molner received the Silver Medal, and Laurent Federspiel was honored with the Dean’s Leadership Award.
MBA graduates included Laurent Federspiel, Tom Leick, Donald Craig Molner, Antoine Peter, Carole Retter, Didier Robart, Thomas Schneider, Frédéric Patrice, Paulette Marie Scholtus, Colleen Meredith Sibley and Ingo Willems. Patricia Songnaba Dor received a professional certificate in Global Investments.
