SHU Volunteers Lend a Hand at Thanksgiving

At St. Charles Food Pantry in Bridgeport, Sacred Heart University students worked hard to prepare bags of food for distribution to the local poor for Thanksgiving. A large portion of the food being distributed was donated by members of the SHU community (faculty/staff and students,) all of which was collected by the Office of Volunteer Programs and delivered to both St. Charles as well as the Bridgeport Rescue Mission. Also, the Student Government Association held an extremely successful turkey drive this year-----they raised enough money to buy over 500 turkeys!
