The Edgerton Center Presents 'The Student Prince'

News Story: February 1, 2009

Heritage Musicals division of LBM Productions LLC will present The Student Prince at Sacred Heart University’s Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, March 21st at 8pm and Sunday, March 22nd at 2pm.

Sigmund Romberg’s operetta, presented as a staged concert in the style of New York City’s popular Encores series, is considered a landmark of melody, staging and theatre. The old-world charm of a mythological kingdom sings of love and romance among royalty, university students and townspeople. Now a classic of the American musical theatre, the romantic melodies captured the hearts of audiences and continue to hold favored places today. Each concert also includes other operetta gems and a special guest appearance by Patrice Munsel, former star of the Metropolitan Opera. This special event is presented with generous support by Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts.

Tickets for this event are $30, $20 and $15.  Tickets may be reserved (beginning February 15th) by phone at the Edgerton Center Box Office, located on campus at 5151 Park Avenue in Fairfield, CT, at 203-371-7908 or in person at the box office which is located in the lobby of the Edgerton Center.  Box office hours are Monday through Friday from 12noon-4pm.  It will also be open 2 hours prior to both performances.  For the most up-to-date information, log onto www.EdgertonCenter.org.
