Tim Russert to Present A View from Washington

Tim Russert, the managing editor and moderator of NBC's “Meet the Press” will present “A View from Washington” at Sacred Heart University on Monday, November 13, at 8:00 p.m. The event will take place in the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts on the main campus at 5151 Park Avenue.

Tickets are on sale now; prices are $10 for general admission, $5 for SHU faculty and staff, and $3 for full-time undergraduate students. To purchase tickets, call 203-371-7846.

Russert, NBC News' Washington Bureau Chief, has served as moderator of Meet the Press since 1991, making him the longest serving moderator in the history of the show. He also serves as a political analyst for “NBC Nightly News” and the “Today” program. He anchors “The Tim Russert Show,” a weekly interview program on CNBC and is a contributing anchor for MSNBC.

His two books, “Wisdom of Our Fathers” (2006) and “Big Russ and Me” (2004), were both “New York Times” number one best sellers.

“Meet the Press” is the highest rated, most watched and most quoted Sunday morning public affairs program. 

This event is part of Sacred Heart University's 2006-2007 Student Affairs Lecture Series. Upcoming lectures include Anthony Rapp, “Without You—A Memoir of Love, Loss and the Broadway Musical RENT” on January 22, 2007, and Robin Roberts, anchor of ABC News' “Good Morning America,” who will present Black History Month remarks on February 8, 2007.
