Meet Our Distinguished Panel of Speakers
Marie T. Hilliard, JCL, Ph.D., R.N., is the director of Bioethics and Public Policy for the National Bioethics Center and an adjunct professor in the Department of Nursing for Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Dr. Hilliard holds a Ph.D. in Professional Nursing Higher Education Administration from the University of Connecticut and a Cannon Law Licentiate from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
Rabbi Eugene Korn, Ph.D., is Adjunct Professor in Jewish Thought in the Department of Jewish-Christian Studies at Seton Hall University, NJ, where is also editor of the Edah Journal. He is the former director of Jewish Affairs at the American Jewish Congress. Rabbi Korn was ordained by the Israeli Rabbinate and lived in Israel from 1992-1996. He holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University, NY.
Karen Lebacqz, Ph.D., is the Robert Gordon Sproul Professor of Theological Ethics, Emeritia at the Pacific School of Religion in the Graduate Theological Union, Berkley, CA. where she served as professor for more than thirty years. Dr. Lebacqz was the Bioethicist in Residence and Visiting Professor of Religious Studies at Yale University in 2005-2006. She is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University.
