VISION PROJECT: Presentation and Discussion by Richard Falco

Richard Falco is currently the President and Creative Director of Vision Project (http://www.visionproject.org/), a Web site that publishes significant works of photojournalism. Mr. Falco's most recent book is To Bear Witness: September 11 (with Richard Mueller), and his work has appeared in Newsweek, The New York Times, US News & World Report, National Geographic, Life, Time, and many other publications.

Mr. Falco's presentation will draw from assignments shot around the world. The images are selected from photo essays relating to news, social issues, unique cultures and travel stories. The presentation will be followed by a discussion of the photographs, shooting documentary work, and the process of using the camera as a personal voice and creating images that affect others. The business of journalism and the transition into the digital world will also be discussed.
