SHU Appoints Lynnette Sodha Assistant Vice President for Capital Gifts and Planned Giving

Lynnette P. Sodha, an experienced college administrator in the area of gift management, has been appointed to the Sacred Heart University community as Assistant Vice President for Capital Gifts and Planned Giving.

“Sacred Heart is poised to take its next institutional step toward excellence, and I want to help make that advancement happen,” Sodha said. “I look forward to bringing my fund-raising experience from other institutions of higher education to bear as we at Sacred Heart make it our mission to lay the groundwork that will assure the university's financial future for posterity.”

Before joining Sacred Heart, Sodha worked as Principal Gifts Officer at Yale University in New Haven, Conn., where she helped manage and develop the institution’s portfolio of donors at the $5 million level and above. Previously, she served as Senior Planned Giving Officer at Washington University in St. Louis and as Assistant Director of Planned Giving at Clark University in Worcester, Mass.

Sodha, a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship awardee, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Missouri, and a Masters of Arts in English and Art History at Southern Illinois University.

She resides in New Haven, Conn.
